Mark Calaway AKA the Undertaker began his wrestling career during the year 1987 by wrestling and training at the Dallas Sports Gym in Dallas, Texas with Yunge Van Erich's World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW)

(The Undertaker) Mark's career starts off with the wrestling in the USA Wrestling Association (USWA). The undertaker won the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship and USWA Texas Heavyweight Championship and during those years, Mark used several ring names: The DeadEnd, The Brutal Enforcer, The Captain, and Texas RedHot.

The Undertaker begins his short promotional debut in 1987 until 1992, first in the Nation Wrestling Alliance (NWA) by Jim Bruzal Promotions. Finally during 1995 the WCW turns into WWE.

In the NWA Mark Calaway AKA the Undertake was known as "Big Easy" Mark Callous and wrestled as part of the Skyscrapers tag team along with "Dangerous" Dan Spivey and later as a singles wrestler. Mark's most famous match in WCW was against Lex Luther for the NWA United States Wrestling Title at the 1990 Great American Dash, which he lost after Luther pinned him after a devastating clothesline finish. At the end of 1990s, WCW refused to renew Calaway's contract, and the Undertaker signed with Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Federation now know as the WWE.
