Learning English is easiest amongst all languages

We build and sustain relationships by communicating with each other. This relationship could be formal, official, business or personal. The prime means of communication is the language – the ancient media of human civilization. But as compared to the ancient times, our relationships today are much more diverse and intense. The continued advancement in the civilization blessed has brought an increasing need of communication. The significance of verbal communication i.e. oral and written communications can no more be ignored in a world characterized by globalization. Throughout ages, people have strived for a common platform of understanding amongst various nationalities, ethnicities, races or groups. Learning and using English as a common language has been found effective in doing so. English is the most widely spoken and written language of the globe. Approximately 1.8 billion people use English either as their first (400 million) or second (1.4 billion) language. What was once a domain of the British only; English now belongs to a closely tied international community. About 53 countries of the world use English as there official language. Besides, international organizations like the UN, NATO, EU and Commonwealth of Nations etc have English as their official language. Importance of learning English is therefore cannot be overemphasized.

A language other than your own is not easy to learn (sometimes your own language is not easy to learn either!). While many languages may take years together, learning English is rather easier and simpler. Why? First, there are billions of English speaking people all over the globe. This enhances your English listening. Second, English together with its grammar has an easier learning approach. Depending on the level of requirement, you need relatively much lesser time to learn English. Third, to learn English, you have an enormous amount of resources around you. Regardless of the country you live in, these resources are easily available.

We often are afraid of reaching the start point in learning a language because of many preoccupations and speculations. The same is true for English. But in reality, you can start to learn English right away. There are ‘easy English’ and ‘formal English’. To converse with English speaking people for casual purposes or to write a line or two, choose the former and the job is done. You don’t even need to take an English class. Materials and resources available around you are enough to make you learn writing easy English and speaking with people.

The finest and most effective amongst the resources is definitely the World Wide Web or the internet. You can learn English online pretty easily. Hundreds of websites with their attractive and easy-to-use web interfaces enable us to learn English with tools for both English speaking and English listening. You can take an online English class at your convenient time right from your home computer. While there are websites which offer English lessons for a price, there are many ABSOLUTELY FREE websites. Audio files with mp3 formats allow you to save the lectures, presentations or lessons for English listening. There are quizzes, exercises etc in the websites that allow you to interactively learn English quite differently from a formal English class.

As a bottom line, learning English is probably the easiest amongst all languages. If you have decided to learn English the only thing you need is to shake off your worries and take a little pain in browsing through the plenty of English learning resources around you.
